🏉 After-School Rugby Club (Years 1–6)
We are delighted to offer an after-school rugby club designed for pupils in Years 1–6. The club provides a safe, structured, and enjoyable environment where children of all abilities can take part, develop their skills, and grow in confidence.
When: Every Tuesday @ 3:15pm - 4:15pm
Where: Burton CofE Primary School
The sessions are led by licensed professional coaches, ensuring high-quality instruction, age-appropriate activities, and a focus on safety at all times. With their experience and passion for the game, our coaches create an atmosphere where every child feels supported, motivated, and encouraged to achieve their best.
🌟 What children will gain from the club:
Fundamental rugby skills – ball-handling, passing, movement, and teamwork.
Physical development – improving coordination, agility, fitness, and resilience.
Core rugby values – respect 🙌, discipline, teamwork 🤝, and enjoyment.
Confidence building – learning in a safe, positive environment where mistakes are part of the journey.
Friendship and teamwork – the chance to connect with peers across year groups.
The emphasis is always on participation, fun, and learning rather than competition. Children will take part in a variety of engaging activities and small-sided games, designed to build both skill and enjoyment.
By joining, pupils will not only experience the excitement of rugby 🏉 but also develop lifelong skills that extend beyond the sport – such as perseverance, communication, and mutual respect.
We look forward to being a part of your child's rugby development!
